We can't Separate from the Person We Harm

Life is fair, in that it gives difficulties and adversity to every human, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, class, caste, religion, belief, sex, gender, language, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex characteristics, age, health or financial status, even though people may not get them equally.

Everybody can be harmed and hurt, wise people let it go, rather than take revenge. This is because: we cannot separate from the people we harm. Imagine that someone has done things wrong to you, if you do sue this person, take them to court, are you really ready for years to come dwelling in this horrible relationship with someone you indeed hate? Is it worthy of your health, both physical and mental? Be aware that you may win it or lose it. Your lawyer may fire them for you as long as you can pay legal costs, however, your Overcome Advisor may ask you the above questions. It is ultimately your choice to weigh it: is your benefit from the litigation gong to be more than the negative effects on you? Sometimes it is wisdom to leave it, and do things more meaningful and enjoyable.

Zen has an intriguing philosophy here. It says: Every attack creates a counter attack. What does it mean? It is like an echo, you shout on top of mountains, it will come back to you, and be there for a while. Unwise and uncalculated attack, even if it is a counter attack, will drive oneself into endless fights and struggles. It is not beneficial, or at least the negative effects may outweigh the positive effects on you. "Emptiness" is a big wisdom according to Zen phylosophy.
